Welcome Friends of BLI – Service Trip to Kenya + Safari
You are invited to join us for a once-in-a-lifetime legacy experience as we kick-off a new project in Kenya. Come and build upon your own legacy by helping to build a school for children in an underdeveloped area of Africa. You can make a difference that will continue well beyond your days in-country.
Join Tim Gibson & Eli Mansfield (your trip leaders) from Building Legacies International to get in on the early stage development of this project.
Building Legacies International facilitates and leads customized legacy service trips for businesses, organizations, schools, and individuals. These unique trips create an environment where participants meet each other, serve together and often return home to make an impact in their own communities. A legacy experience is fertile ground for life transformation; both your own and those you encounter during the trip.
“A trip like this began to profoundly change my life back in 2010 and I’m super excited about inviting others to have the same opportunity as I celebrate my 50th birthday there. It would be such a gift if you’d join us!” ~ Eli
The need: Children are currently meeting for class in rooms with no roof, doors or windows. And since this is on the edge of the Tsavo National Game Park, local wildlife often enter and cause even more damage. This environment is not conducive to learning.
Our focus is to come alongside the local leadership team and begin rebuilding the school. Building the classrooms is our mission but building relationships with the children, teachers and parents is just as important. We will spend time visiting families in their homes, eating together and playing with the children.
But we can’t be this close to a game park and not wrap-up our visit with 3 days on safari! Tsavo National Park boasts all the big five… elephants, lion, cape buffalo, black rhino and leopard, as well as giraffe, zebra and many other animals.
We would love to have you join us in this important and life transforming opportunity!
